Melbourne is a diverse city that welcomes people of many religions and faith backgrounds. See how you can practice your religion while at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½.
Australia, and Melbourne in particular, is a highly diverse and multicultural place. This is one of the reasons that it's a wonderful place for international students to live and study.
The most commonly represented religions in Australia are Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Judaism, however there is also a strong presence of other Middle Eastern religions, Nature religions, East Asian beliefs and Australian Aboriginal traditional beliefs.
Religion in Australia is well accepted and celebrated. In Melbourne, there are many different faiths represented in the community, with a wealth of churches and religious groups available.
ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ has a dedicated chaplain who works alongside teachers and welfare staff to ensure you have support with your spiritual and religious wellbeing. You can receive personal support and encouragement from the college chaplain, regardless of your faith background, as well as advice about finding an appropriate place to worship.
Inclusive services are held at the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Chapel throughout the week, and there are also dedicated prayer spaces for students of all faiths to use.
Participation in religious and faith-based activities is completely voluntary and we have many students with no religious background at all.
